Consumer research and international examples

Summary

In this section we summarise the findings of our initial domestic consumer research. This highlights some of the international energy examples we have considered to date.

Details

We have recently published research from the domestic market. We received responses about the fairness of standing charges and unit rates, and how to use them in different ways to recover costs.

Also included are reviews of international research. These show different approaches to recovering costs.

Before you give us your views

You’ll need to read the full details in the Consumer research and international examples of the call for input (PDF, opens in new window).

We welcome your information and evidence, as well as analysis, in your responses. You can highlight examples in other markets (not limited to energy markets) that we should consider.

1. What other examples or evidence from relevant sectors or international energy markets should we consider as part of our review?
